With Passion and Joy

The Foundational Scripture:

Never be lacking in zeal,
but keep your spiritual fervor,
serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope,
patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:11-12

What in life gets you excited?  What are you passionate about?  When you are alone with your thoughts, where does your mind go?  On what do you spend your extra time and energy?  Your answers are your passions.  Your answers expose what you hold closest to your heart.  If someone met you for the first time, it wouldn't take long for them to find out what you love and enjoy.  Would that person walk away knowing there is something different about you?  Would they be convinced that you love Jesus?

Is Jesus important to you?  We talk about, and live our lives according to, our priorities--what's important to us.   So, let me ask again:  Is Jesus important to you?  If so, when was the last time you said or did something that clued someone in that you don't live for yourself but live for God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ?  It's not a rhetorical question.  Be honest.  Write in the comments or in your own heart how others know without a doubt you are who you say you are...a child of the King.
